Two held in fake currency racket
UNITED NEWS OF INDIA


SURAT, MARCH 26: Surat rural police arrested two persons and seized fake currency notes worth over Rs 1.74 lakh of Rs 100 denomination in Mandvi Taluka of the district.

Police sources said that the duo -- Yusuf Abdul Rahim Memon of Rajkot and Mohammed Saiyed Ali Haji of Tamil Nadu were running a pan-bidi

shop in Mandvi since last several years. However, their alleged involvement into the matter was revealed on Saturday. The currency notes seized by the police, were in the series of 9hw 7752, 7754, 7755, 7724 and 7753.

Crime branch police registered a case against them under Section 489 and 114 and further investigations were on.
