CBI arrests Municipal official on graft charges
NEW DELHI, APRIL 6: The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an assistant sanitary inspector of Muncipal Corporation of Delhi for demanding and accepting bribe and amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. Following a compliant by a daily wager, sleuths of Anti-Corruption branch of the agency caught the accused, Rajender Khurana, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 1,000, a CBI release said. The sleuths raided the residential premises of the accused and seized Rs 4.72 lakh cash, documents relating to investments and jewellery worth Rs 1 lakh, the release said.
