How an IAS officer evaded the law for 10 years
For over 10 years, a senior Indian Administrative Officer has been playing hide-and-seek with the law. Paramjeet Singh Bhogal, a Maharashtra cadre IAS officer, has evaded court summons and even non-bailable warrants issued by a Delhi court in case of alleged dowry harassment.




Fernandes announces Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia for jawans
Conceding a long-pending demand of Indian soldiers, Defence Minister George Fernandes on Monday announced a universal ex-gratia payment of Rs 10 lakh for jawans killed in action, whether Kargil or Jammu and Kashmir.




Express editor's attacker sent to judicial custody
Jayashri Inamdar, arrested by the Cantonment police on the charge of attacking the editor of The Indian Express, Pune, Prakash Kardaley, was on Tuesday remanded to judicial custody till May 30.
