London, May 16: Leg spinner Brian Murphy has been forced out of his final year of law studies to strengthen the depleted Zimbabwe bowling attack in the two-Test cricket series against England starting at Lord's on Thursday.

Murphy made himself unavailable for the current tour but had to be rushed from South Africa as the Zimbabwe bowlers continued to make an impression before the all important first test in England.

Murphy, the former Zimbabwe Under-19 skipper, played both Tests against the West Indies in a 2-0 series loss and took six wickets at the cost of 158 runs. More

The 23-year-old Murphy will return to Cape Town University at the end of the second test in Trent Bridge to complete his degree.

``He's just arrived and has the possibility of playing on Thursday,'' skipper Andy Flower confirmed.

Murphy's inclusion will provide some spark to the attack that will include a half-fit Heath Streak. Streak is suffering from knee soreness but Flower said he will head the attack.
