Court to frame charges against Laloo, Rabri on May 27
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA

PATNA, MAY 23: Designated Central Bureau of Investigation judge S K Lal on Monday asked the CBI to make available all relevant documents to the Rashtriya Janata Dal president Laloo Prasad Yadav and Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and fixed May 27 as the date for framing of charges against them in connection with a disproportionate assets case.

The court issued the directive when counsels for Laloo and Rabri devi, P N Pandey and Chitranjan Sinha, prayed for supplying all the documents relating to the case to them.

Earlier, the RJD president appeared in the court in connection with the case while Rabri Devi could not appear due to her engagements for the by-poll.

The court asked Laloo and Rabri to appear before it on May 27 again. The RJD supremo was charged with having accumulated wealth worth around Rs 42 crore disproportionate to his known sources of income between 1990 and 1996 when he was the Chief Minister. Yadav is on provisional bail for three months in the case.
