Israeli Dy PM quits over sex scandal
JERUSALEM, MAY 28: Israeli Deputy premier Yitzhak mordechai, charged on three counts of sexual assault, has handed in his resignation, the Prime Minister's office said today. Mordechai submitted his resignation to Israeli PM Ehud Barak, it added. The Iraqi-born Mordechai, 55, temporarily stood down from his post as Transport Minister after the investigation was launched in early March following an initial complaint by a 23-year-old employee in his office.
