Unocal pulls out of Maroli Port project
The US-based pipeline major Unocal was withdrawn from the Maroli port project in Gujarat. Unocal, according to its website, "had withdrawn from the project in order to focus its efforts on other projects in the country.''




State may replace hi-fi bureaucrat Bongirwar
Maharashtra Chief Secretary and the high profile bureaucrat, Arun Bongirwar, is likely to be replaced either by the Additional Chief Secretary (Home), M R Patil or Ajit Nimbalkar, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of 1967 batch.




Goa SSC exam pass percentage goes up
Amrita Prasad Nevrekar of Mustifund High School, Panaji topped the merit list by securing 93.20% marks in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination conducted by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Education in March 2000.
