Roving Eye

The event last week was definitely the Bacardi party at Beyond 1900's. Even though the bash was on Wednesday night, the place was packed to the hilt. All of the city's usual night owls were there partying away to glory. Seen there were Kelly Dorji, Shenaz Treasurywala, Carol Gracias, Inder Sudan, Sumeet Chopra, Kishen Mulchandani, Helen Brodie...the list goes on. But the woman who seemed to be in the highest spirits was Sophiya Haque, who came with her beau Jules Fuller and buddy Mel De Souza. Dressed in a silver ball gown, Sophiya seemed to be in the `celebration' mood as it was the former veejay's birthday. While Sophiya was the lady of the night, the man who stole the show was Marc Robinson, having helped plan the event and check every last detail. He even decided to turn deejay for the night and drag all his friends on to the dance floor.

And Finally...

The Oberoi is going to be the place to be this weekend again. As on Sunday, the hotel is hosting its annual art brunch, which is always quite an affair. With everyone relishing champagne and cocktails, and then hitting the dance floor, this brunch normally goes on till dinnertime! And this year, many well-known artists are taking part, including Anjolie Ela Menon, who has been a part of The Oberoi Art Camp since it first started three years ago.
