Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega Ek garam chai ki pyali is a mixture of Queen with Cliff Richard's Shakin', of course, all well shaken with Malik's own stuff. And it sounds as good as a misal pao lunch. In all fairness, this is the tune which keeps playing in your mind long after you have heard the album. There is a sad version of the title track by Alka Yagnik in which she sounds as smooth as a knife cutting through butter, after which we skip to my personal favourite, Piya piya o piya by Prashant, Preeti and Pinky. The 3P team churns out a great number. Prashant (whoever he is!) in particular, has a good voice, and Mr Malik should make more use of him. The last solo track by Nigam sounding like one from his own private collection wraps up the album nicely. This could be another O o jaane jaana for Salman Khan when HDJPK is released. All in all, a good album, HDJPK does, however, leave one slightly disappointed because it is a Raj Kanwar movie -- and going by that, this is average fare compared to the music of Raj Kanwar's past movies.
