Cauvery Authority to meet in Delhi on July 14

Chennai, June 30: The Centre has convened a meeting of the Cauvery River Authority, headed by Prime Minister Vajpayee, in New Delhi on July 14.

An official press release, giving Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's engagements for July, said here today that he would participate in the meeting on July 14. The Centre had earlier fixed the meeting for May 19, but it was postponed indefinitely following Karnataka's decision to boycott it, alleging that the meeting had been `called in haste and at the behest of Tamil Nadu'.
