AP launches master health card
HYDERABAD, JULY 21: Andhra Pradesh government on Friday launched `Master Health Card' to enable poor people access to diagnostic tests at Government hospitals free of cost. State Medical and Health Minister S Aruna, who formally launched the card at a government hospital at King Koti here, said the facility would soon be extended to all district government hospitals in the State. For white ration card holders, the card would be given at a nominal cost of Rs 10 per card while pink card holders (middle-income group) will be charged Rs 50 per health card. The card, valid for a four-time use in as many years, would cover diagnostic facilities like blood tests, X-ray and gynaecological tests.
