RCF train loses wheels, CR grinds to a halt JULY 23: A goods train belonging to the Rashrtiya Chemicals and Fertilisers Ltd derailed near Kurla station at 4.45 pm today. No one was injured. The 12-bogey train, which was carrying Liquified Anhydrous Ammonia, was on its way to Trombay from Thal. It derailed when the train was passing through the Kurla yard. Bogeys No 5 and 6 lost a wheel each, which caused the mishap. Several officials belonging to the Breakdown Department and Railway Police personnel were present on the scene. The divisional safety officer said that while the train derailed at 4.45 pm, the authorities suceeded in re-railing it at 6.25 pm. The derailment brought services on the Harbour Line of the Central Railway to a complete halt between 4.45 pm and 5.45 pm. Though services refumed thereafter, they ran late by 15-20 minutes. The safety officer said: ``We are setting up an inquiry today which will conduct an investigation in to the matter. The exact cause of the deraiment will be known in four to five days.''
