HC extends Laloo's bail period in DA case
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA


PATNA, AUG 11: Patna High Court today extended the provisional bail granted to RJD chief Laloo Prasad Yadav in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case, till November 15 this year.

Justice S.K. Singh extended the bail after hearing Laloo's counsels P N Pandey, Chittranjan Sinha and CBI's standing counsel Rakesh Kumar. In his order Justice Singh said the petitioner would follow the same terms and conditions as ordered by the court while allowing him the privilege of provisional bail for a period of three months that expired yesterday.

According to the court's order, Laloo will have the privilege of bail on conditions that he will not frustrate the course of trial, tamper with evidences and ensure appearance in the court during the trial.

Justice singh said the period of the bail bond executed by Laloo three months ago will remain valid till November 15.
