Indian captain Saurav Ganguly, who plays English county cricket for Lancashire, has come in for severe criticism from the British media on Sunday, with one of them comparing him to a "sort of Indian Geoff Boycott".

Board of Control for Cricket in India after its working committee meeting on Sunday unveiled a code of conduct which debars cricketers from the game if they are found guilty of betting or match-fixing.




Serena, Hingis enter final
Serena Williams set up a title match with top-ranked Martina Hingis in the Du Maurier Open, beating Arantxa Sanchez Vicario 6-2 6-4. Hingis, the defending Du Maurier champion, defeated Conchita Martinez of Spain 6-3 6-2 on Saturday.
