Sierra Leone Olympian confused by size of Australia

Sydney, August 24: A member of the Sierra Leone Olympic team arrived in Sydney and, unaware of the how big the country is, tried to take a cab to his hotel-- 1,425 kms away in Adelaide.

According to The Australian newspaper, a Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (SOCOG) official at Sydney airport came to the rescue and put the athlete up in a hotel for the night before he was flown to Adelaide next day.
