Dead penguins found in Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO, SEPT 10: Some 80 penguins were found dead on a beach at Cabo Frio, 150 kms north of here, according to local environmentalists. The penguins, almost all of them found along a four km stretch of Pero beach, were discovered by local fire-fighters on Saturday, who sucessfully returned a beached 150 kg sea turtle to the ocean. The cause of the penguins' death remains unknown. Scores of sea creatures, including penguins and whales, have washed up on local beaches since early July. Oceanographer David Zee said the animals, most of them from Argentina and Uruguay, have been washed up as a result of strong ocean currents.
