Bulls lose steam, Sensex falls by 110 pts
The bull party seems to be over at least for the time being. Share prices suffered a sharp setback with the Sensex falling by a whopping 109.54 points on the BSE in the wake of heavy bull unloading coupled with selling pressure from foreign institutional investors.




MCCFL scam -- HC wants scheme for fund recovery
Madras High Court directed MCC Finance Ltd, a firm of the M A Chidambaram Group of companies, to work out a scheme to recover the money provided as loans and distribute the same among depositors.




New bank investment norms come under attack
The proposal to allow banks to invest up to 5% of their outstanding credit in shares, convertible debentures and units of equity mutual funds will pose a risk to the sector, says ASK-Raymond James & Associates Ltd in a research report.
