Korean pace leaves India flat-footed
Asian Games champions India's hopes of making the semi-finals of the Olympic hockey competition were severely dented when they crashed to a 0-2 defeat against continental champions South Korea on Thursday.

The Five National selectors on Thursday capped batsman Yuvaraj Singh of Punjab, Vijay Dhaiya of Delhi and medium pacer Zahir Khan of Baroda and recalled Vinod Kambli for the ICC Knock-out cricket tournament scheduled from Oct 3 to 16 at Nairobi in Kenya.




Kiwi eves qualify for medal pool
New Zealand qualified for the medal pool round of the Olympic women's hockey tournament with a 1-0 victory over South Africa in Group B on Thursday. Spain stayed in contention for a place in the medal pool round from Group A with a 1-0 win over Argentina.
