Salads, the key to Yuvraj's success

Nairobi, Oct 7: Skipper Saurav Ganguly attributed India's stunning victory over World champions Australia to the all-round performance by his team, especially newcomers Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan.

``We lost the toss but we decided to play positively. The fielding was outstanding,'' he said, adding that the win will ``boost Indian cricket''.

Yuvraj Singh when asked about his `Man of the Match' award winning performance, said, ``It was a great feeling to beat the big Aussies.''

Asked by master of ceremonies David Hookes what he ate for breakfast to be able to turn in such exciting performance, the 18-year-old replied:

``Vegetarian - all kinds of salad''.

The running-out of Michael Bevan was the turning point of the match, said Yuvraj Singh when asked about his effort in dismmising the dangerous-looking Aussie.

Yuvraj Singh, who did not get to bat in his debut match against Kenya last Tuesday, said he was ``satisfied'' with his first One-Day International knock.

Australian skipper Steve Waugh said he was disappointed with his team's poor performance. He praised the ``good tactics'' employed by the Indian team in Saturday's match.

The youngster's performance came in for much praise from stalwarts like Sunil Gavaskar, Geoff Boycott and Ian Chappell. The hard-to-please Chappell said Yuvraj kept coming up with ideas even in ``crucial moments''.
