England get trapped in Saqlain web
Associated Press

rawalpindi, october 30 : Pakistani off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq's five-wicket haul dismissed England for just 158 in 42.5 overs in the third and decisive one-day international interrupted by rioting outside the stadium here on Monday.

Mushtaq grabbed a career-best five-wicket haul off 20 runs in eight overs. The English batsmen failed to negotiate Pakistani spinners on a turning track with Shahid Afridi chipping in with one wicket for 21.Umpires Zafar Iqbal Pasha and Mian Aslam were forced to suspend play twice because of rioting outside the stadium that caused the police to use tear gas.

Fans, some with tickets and many without, rioted when police tried to stop them from getting to the stadium. Police said they were trying to keep those without tickets at least 500 yards away from the stadium.

The players used wet towels to protect their eyes. Play was suspended in the ninth over for four minutes and again in the 41st over, for five minutes. Graham Thorpe was England's top scorer with 39. He was the last man out after facing 71 deliveries and hitting one boundary.
