Devdas' Calcutta now in Mumbai, price tag Rs 11 crore
Calcutta in Mumbai? Well, at least a slice of Calcutta of the 30s that wove itself into noted literary works like Devdas is being recreated amidst the lush greenscape in Mumbai's Film City, where Sanjay Leela Bhansali's's ambitious film by the same name is being made.

"The popularity of ballet as a dance form has not waned over the years. Instead, it has gained popularity. However, the lack of training ground does not harbour well for the survival of this creative form," says Kumudini Shanker, wife and disciple of Sachin Shanker.




Expanding horizons
Every time I hear from dancer, Astad Deboo, I'm deeply envious. Because each message is from a different destination -- Laos or Luxembourg, Uzbekistan or Kazhakastan (well, almost!).
