Now, Big B will play host to kiddie Crorepatis
Krishna Gopalan

Mumbai, Nov 29: Move over adults, it's kids time on Kaun Banega Crorepati. A new show titled Junior Kaun Banega Crorepati, for children upto 15 years, is scheduled to go on air in March next year. No prizes for guessing who the host will be. Amitabh Bachchan, of course.

Bachchan will be on the small screen every Sunday on the one-hour show, most probably at 10 am. The prize money will be retained and used as scholarship for the child's higher education. Officials at Star TV, when contacted said that the channel was still in the process of firming up plans for the next year. ``Junior KBC is among the many ideas thrown around,'' said an official.

Sources say Star has approached Hindustan Lever with what has been termed ``an attractive deal''. HLL currently sponsors Koteeswaran, the game show on Sun TV. The point of interest, according to sources, is the Sunday morning slot when no programme can claim to be the leader. Zee currently runs the popular Bournvita Quiz Contest at noon. Star Plus does not really have a significant presence among serials aired on Sunday. As far as the movies on Sunday are concerned, the channel airs one in the 2 PM afternoon slot and other at 7:30 PM. Junior KBC will be the first game show with money targetted at children.
