Military schools' entrance test hit by postal strike NEW DELHI, DEC 18: The postal strike has taken its toll on even the young school children, many of whom have not even got their call letters for entrance examinations to military schools. Army Headquarters has been besieged by calls from students and their parents seeking information whether the entrance examination has been postponed or rescheduled since many of them have not received their call letters. The common entrance will would be conducted at 21 centres all over the country simultaneously on Wednesday, December 27. Army HQ today said that the examination will not be rescheduled but alternate arrangements were being made to ensure that the children got their call letters. ``Due to disturbances in the postal services as a result of the recent postal strike, special arrangements have been made by the Army Headquarters towards timely conduct of the common trance test for admission to military schools,'' an Army spokesman said today. In cases of non-receipt of call letters, the students or their parents are to collect them from the respective records or Military Training-15, (MT-15), Army Headquarters, Sena Bhavan, Duplex Road from December 20 on production of identification papers. ``The examination will be held as schedule,'' the spokesman added.
