Transfer orders for Aurangabad ZP additional CEO

AURANGABAD, JAN 4: Another conflict between the IAS cadre and the State Government officials is on the cards at the Aurangabad Zilla Parishad with the ZP additional chief executive officer being served sudden transfer orders.

It is learnt that the reason for the row involved clearance of some bills from CEO Vikaschandra Rastogi's office. Additional CEO Ishwar Ramteke was said to have taken a tough stand on the CEO's bills.

The circumstances leading to Ramteke's transfer have now led to talk in official circles about the functional freedom of newly-appointed additional CEOs.

The posts of ZP additional CEOs were created in June last year. They have been assigned independent charge of some crucial departments such as building works, irrigation, agriculture, social welfare and animal husbandry.
