BBC says no association with channel four

NEW DELHI, JAN 17: The BBC today said it had no association with channel four, which has recently been involved in a controversy over its coverage of the Maha kumbh mela.

``Channel four is an independent channel and has noassociation with the BBC,'' a statement from the BBC office here said.

The statement said while the BBC does not wish to enterany controversy about channel four's coverage, it was concerned that the statements have been made associating the BBC with it and that attention given to these statements in the media should not in any way affect its reporting of the kumbh mela.
