TMC's electoral strategy soon
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA

CHENNAI, FEB 21: A final decision on TMC's electoral strategy would be taken within a couple of days, senior TMC leader Jayanthi Natarajan today said. "Whatever decision we take, we will do it within 48 hours," she told newsmen here. Meanwhile, TMC sources said the party had to explore all avenues before arriving at a decision. The party leaders were yet to contact AIADMK leader Jayalalitha directly, they said, adding the offer by AIADMK through "intermediaries" was "too meagre and totally unacceptable" to TMC, the sources added.

Though the intial offer of 27 seats had gone up to 30, it was still "too meagre" to accept, they said.

Earlier, TMC president G K Moopanar discussed with party leaders from Pondicherry on the strategy to be adopted with regard to the assembly elections there.

Senior TMC leader and Pondicherry Co-operation Minister C Jayakumar later told newsmen they would abide by the decision taken by their leader.
