Leverkusen upset by lowly Cottbus
Agence france presse

Berlin, February 24 : Lowly energie Cottbus caused a major upset in the Bundesliga last night when the newly-promoted German side defeated title-chasers Bayer Leverkusen 3-1 to achieve their first away win of the season.

A double from Romanian Vasile Miriuta in the 33rd and 62nd and a header from Croatian Antun Labak in the 42nd threw a spanner in the works of Leverkusen’s title bid. Leverkusen, third in the German League just two points behind leader’s Bayern Munich, gave a less than inspiring performance coming away with a late consolation goal in the 74th from Brazilian midfielder Ze Roberto.
