Chidambaram to assess flats work for migrants in Jammu

Jammu:

Union Home Minister P Chidambaram is scheduled to arrive here on Wednesday to assess construction of flats for displaced Kashmiri migrants.

Chidambaram will visit Jagti in Nagrota, about 15 kms from here, where flats are under construction for the migrants, an official release said.

State Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla, who visited Jagti area, reviewed security and other arrangements for the Home Minister’s visit.

There are a total of 4,218 flats coming up in the area and works are scheduled to be complete by May, 2010.
