Sania and instiution of marriage

I am not a liberal and dont support adultery. However, people are stretching this pre-marital sex thing.Does this exist?[It does].How is Sania making a difference by her views? Its a personal subject and specific to each person's envorins, state of mind and lot of other factors. What people need is the freedom to choose and not Bull s**t from self-proclaimed watchers of morals of society.Fatwas/VHP rantings aganinst cannot stop people doing from what they are doing. So shut and help people lead better life

sania should think as much as she can before any statement.

To some instance Acharyaji is right. India is very sensitive society. Youth follows the celebrities. It seems that sania wants people to see her as most modern lady but she forgot that if her bad will be started, even layman Haydarabadi will not marry her. She should think as much as she can before any statements.
When Health Minister of India is trying SRK to join 'no smoking' campaign, sania should try w/o any request to maintain Indian culture unharmed. There is no place for vulgarity in Indian society either in Hindus or in Muslims or even in Chritian or any community in India.

Institution of marriage

The acharya's comments are balanced one and with substance to think further.

It is practical that the dress code should be according to profession and comments by others is unwarrented.

Equally good is actress Kushboo's statement wherein she laid stress on safety. That does not mean she intentionally disregard marriage. In fact Indians can be proud of lesser marriage failure and higher social values because of our culture and way of life.

The country once divided on the basis of religion shall not allow division among people on the basis of religion. But the politicians will not allow for the reason of votes. The other alternative is not to disturb the demographic equation.

Ridiculous

Acharya Dharmendra is a classic example of what religion does to the person - these people seemed to be caught in a time-warp and are out of touch with the modern world.
Mr. Sudarshan's prescription to increase Hindu population is an indicator of intellectual bankrupcy within RSS.

These people are still insecure about muslim population growing at more rate than that of Hindus. But producing more children does not mean betterment of the society. Most likely the society willo get poorer and poorer because it will be increasingly harder to feed these extra population. We are already running short of resources to feed the existing population. But all Mr. Sudarshan seem to care is winning the rat race against Muslims even if both of them will fail later.

And how premaritial sex and marriage are related? Marriage doesnot preclude premaritial sex. But might be it's too liberal for our primitive society that still debates about some basic issues like sex, etc. People from other coutries have retached moon and mars and we are still debating whether premaritial sex is ok or not. Pathetic.

fantastic

all hindus should have at least 10 children. If the average age of the hindu girl is 20 yrs, she can easily have at least one child every two years till shes 40. This way The hindu s will rule the world and take over all the jobs and food etc from the USA etc. , since anyway we have niether jobs nor the food to support the future hindu population of 2 bilion in the next 10 years. Of course having children can also be a ful time job!!! then people will also give more money doantions etc to organisations headed by dinosaurs like acharya dharmendra.

Why is what we think and what we wear such an issue? Why does is matter whether it is minority or hindu population you're controlling as long as it benefits the country? Mr Acharya seems to have a problem with what Sania and khusboo have said but believes a statement like "Hindu women should be prepared for more labour pains" is not tasteless??? Frankly I believe we have enuf other more important issues to focus on right now than what Sania wears on court!!!

Missing the point ?

Separating the chaff – so to speak –, Sania’s reported statement only said about the importance of “safety” in sex without considering the question of whether it is before or after marriage. How did it destroy the social values ?

Mr. Sudheendra Kulkarni had aptly stated the limitations of English words in comparison to their Sanskrit counterparts when discussing Indian social issues. Sex is no equivalent to “rat(h)i” and likewise marriage is no equivalent to “vivah(am)”

Pre-marital sex is an imported term from the Christian west, which sees sex as sin. Whereas in Indian context, rat(h)I is divine and even gods and godesses take life forms on earth to enjoy it. T(h)ant(h)rik traditions even have invocation to goddesses seeking blessings through rat(h)i.

Pre-marital sex is a contradiction in Indian context. It is one of the eight categories – namely "Ga(a)ndharva(m)" style in sat(t)wik state – of “vivah(am)”s described in ancient texts. When did VHP get converted to the Christian values of the “institution of marriage” ?

The question is who is misguiding whom ! Or is it that the so called modernists are not modern after all !!

misguided yoots

It's a pretty weak institution that can be destroyed by an 18 yr old's comments

Sania destroying the institution...

What Sania said is correct. It is not for others to decide the length of her skirt and whether inside or outside, safer sex is better. Why VHP be after her. Sania's statement is against the fatwa issued against her dress by the Imams. VHP has no say in it. Here she advices youngsters to play safe in sex. Leave her alone from politics.
