Tarun Gogoi is Assam Chief Minister

Guwahati, May 16: Assam Pradesh Congress president Trun Gogoi was unanimously elected leader of the Congress Legislature Party in Guwahati on Wednesday.

His name was proposed by all the newly elected legislators and approved by Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who was contacted over phone by the leaders present at the meeting.

AICC general secretary Kamal Nath and senior Congress leader Jagdish Tytler were present at the meeting. (PTI)
