It was really criminal on the part of the indian PRIME MINISTER AND HIS CABINET TO have continue with 26 th jan celebration, even after learning of the gujarat trgedy within a few minutes of the tragedy !instead, D.D. showed him saying that if need be, this tragedy shall be given the status of the national tragedy!

Instead, he should have ordered an immediate aerial survey of the affected area and within one hour of it , he should have airlifted 2 lakh defence personnel to the affected area besides getting 3-4 lakh of the NCC CADETS, TERRITORIAL ARMY, HOMEGUARDS ETC. BELIEVE ME, THIS STEP WOULD HAVE HELPED SAVE 40-50% VICTIMS BURRIED UNDER THE DEBRIS, BECAUSE SEVERAL VICTIMS HAD SURVIVED FOR NEARLY 48-50 HOURS BEFORE DYING!IN FACT, THE WHOLE AFFECTED AREA OUGHT TO HAVE BEEN HANDED OVER TO THE INDIAN DEFENCE FORCES WITHIN HOURS OF THE EARTHQUAKE FOR SPEEDY AND EFFICIENT RESCUE AND RELIEF OPERATIONS.ANYWAY, THE DEFENCE PERSONNEL DID AN EXEMPLARY JOB.

INdian people must pull up these callous ,irresponsible political leaders and bureaucrats for the above lapse.

LET THE PRESIDENT AND PRIME MINISTER SET AN EXAMPLE BY GIVING THEIR ONE MONTH SALARY FOR EARTH QUAKE VICTIMS LIKE MR. P.C.ALEXANDER, PASWAN.IN FACT, LET ALL MPS /MINISTERS OF CENTRE/STATES DONATE THEIR ONE MONTH SALARY, IF THEY REALLY CARE FOR THE AFFECTED VICTIMS!
