Featured several times from 1900 to 1920, archery has been a fixture at the Olympics since the Munich Games in 1972. Hubert van Innis of Belgium was the most decorated archer in Olympic history. He won six gold medals and three silvers in 1900 and 1920 Games. In 1972, archery was re-introduced to the Olympic programme with individual events for men and for women. Team competition was later added to the medal programme in Seoul Games in 1988. In a sport where the ability to replicate a shot is as crucial as its accuracy, the key to archery success lies in an archer's systematic and repeatable technique.
