NOTES
& CROSSES
Premiere
time on Channel [V]
Channel [V] is presenting its viewers with some exclusive stuff these
days. The music channel offers a first dekko of forthcoming Hindi film songs,
in its original form, and not as a collage. From February 5 to 10, the song
Dhak dhak from Salakhen was telecast. Sung in the sexy voice of Shweta Shetty
and Abhijeet, the song picturised on the sexier Raveena Tandon and the hunky
Sunny Deol, brought back memories of the Ore ore number which had the same
team of the singer and the actress. According to Channel [V], the tie-up
for airing Salakhen songs was with T-Series, and there will be more such
tie-ups to give their viewers a first look at the songs. And
the viewers for once will only be too happy, since they will be treated to
a whole new song instead of the usual, irritating glimpses with mix n
mash of different clippings.
Straight from the
heart
Every channel is planning special programmes for Valentines
Day on February 14, and MTV too has an interesting fare in store for its
viewers in the form of Cupids Day Out. Whats special about the
programme is that it will be hosted by teen idol Peter Andre alongwith VJ
Amrita. The two will talk to actors, actresses and celebrity couples about
love, and their favourite romantic numbers. Andre too will share his personal
experiences, revealing why most of his hits are love ballads. He will also
be playing his favourite love songs. Among the film personalities who will
speak their hearts out are Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail Khan, and the celebrity
couples include Sanjay Manjrekar and Salil Ankola with their respective wives.
