Dutt & Rhea Pillai
The much-awaited
marriage in the film industry was finally solemnised on Valentine’s
Day (February 14) with popular filmstar Sanjay Dutt tying the nuptial knot
with his long-time girlfriend, Rhea Pillai, at a simple ceremony in South
Mumbai. Rhea, formerly an air-hostess with a foreign airline, quit her job
two years ago to take up modelling. She is presently the representative of
an international watch company in Mumbai and has been by the beleagured
Sanjay’s side through thick and thin for the past three years. After
being released on bail more than a year ago, Sanjay has bagged some of the
most prized projects in the industry, including the most recent big budget
film by Smita Thackeray, Haseena Maan Jayegi and Mahesh Manjrekar’s
Vaastav. His estranged wife Richa, passed away in December 1996 after battling
with brain tumour for a protracted period. The couple have a daughter, Trishala,
who lives with her maternal grand parents in New York.
