President receives Karnataka Governor's report

New Delhi, October 9: President Pratibha Patil has received Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur's report recommending imposition of President's rule in the state, Rashtrapati Bhavan sources said on Tuesday.

The Union Cabinet, which will meet in the evening, is expected to take a decision on the Governor's report and convey it to the President.

The Karnataka Governor had recommended imposition of President's rule in the state after the H D Kumaraswamy government was reduced to a minority following withdrawal of support by the BJP.
