As a service towards the society, more than 40 free health check-up camps were conducted in Pune and various towns of Maharashtra. Twenty-three free camps were conducted at the hospital out-patient department.
In these 63 free camps, world-class doctors gave free consultations to patients along with free check-up. Discounts on procedures, surgeries and major diagnosis were also declared, the press release stated.
Residents of Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and various towns in the State took advantage of such camps and almost 14,000 patients were benefited.
Free awareness programme on kidney care, first aid and osteoporosis were organised for school students and teachers, employees of companies and other citizens.
The kind of surgeries that have been carried out at the hospital included open heart surgery, major neurosurgeries, joint replacements, arthroscopies, endoscopies, minimally invasive surgeries, kidney transplant, gynaecologic surgeries, paediatric surgeries and laser surgeries of eye. 1900 surgeries were done in one year. From the x-ray machine to the water purifying plant, from the MRI scanner to the C-arm in the operation theatres, all have the latest technologies.
Even the doctors who serve the patients have got their thorough formal training from the advanced countries of the world and the leading institutes of India. It has one of most advanced blood banks in India, first of its kind in Maharashtra, the release stated.
