WBUT delays exam, to decide date on Dec 3

Kolkata, November 30 The first semester examination of the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) scheduled for December 3 has been deferred. The change in schedule will affect around 20,000 students across 125 colleges in the state comprising 56 engineering colleges. The university decided a change in the schedule on Thursday evening.

However, the 3rd, 5th and the 7th semester examinations of technical and non-technical courses under WBUT will be held as per schedule from December 3.

“The academic council will meet on December 3 to decide the new dates for conducting the exams,” said Ashok Ranjan Thakur, Vice-Chancellor of WBUT.

“Due to some unavoidable reasons, the university had to postpone the examination,” said Rafiqul Islam, Registrar of the University.
