Manmohan speaks to Sonia, wishes her speedy recovery

New Delhi, January 1: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh spoke to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who was admitted to a hospital in New Delhi due to a ‘mild breathing difficulty and a chest infection’, and extended new year greetings.

Singh spoke to 61-year-old Gandhi over phone and enquired about her health, sources said.

The Prime Minister also wished her speedy recovery besides extending his new year greetings, they said.

The Congress chief was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital late Monday night and was diagnosed having chest infection. Her condition is stable now.
