As the new answer booklets will contain 32 pages, students will need less loose sheets during an examination. However, the CU authorities want the students to ensure that at least 20 lines are written on each page.
In another major decision, the university has decided to do away with submitting application forms before appearing for examinations. Earlier, students had to fill up forms to and submit them to the university before an examination. From now on, students will write their details on plain paper and submit it to the university. The university will scan and digitally store the details.
CU has also decided to go for “on spot correction” of answer scripts for supplementary examinations to be held in January. In the meeting, the university sought cooperation from affiliated colleges to relieve their teachers for a few days so that they could finish the evaluation process as fast as possible and results can be published quickly.
“Attempts are being made to publish both the BA, BSc review and supplementary examination results by February,” said Biplab Chakraborty, Principal of Derozio College.
