“Now the Marxists are in a big dilemma on what to do. If they support, they will become unpopular and face the anger of the people. If they don’t support, the goverment may collapse,” said Naidu while addressing reporters at a conference organised at the city press club.
“Why is this government running?” Naidu asked, alleging that coalition partners usually have credible reasons for supporting the Congress. He claimed that the Left Front is supporting the UPA only because of the Nandigram incident.
Naidu said that party leader L K Advani’s nationwide campaign will take him to West Bengal too. The campaign, termed ‘Sankalp rally’ is expected to begin from Jabalpur on Wednesday and will cover the entire country in the next two months. Despite security threats, the campagin is expected to proceed. The party said it will cooperate with the Union government regarding Advani’s security.
Meanwhile, Naidu also reiterated that the party has no issues with the Trinamool Congress for the upcoming panchayat elections.
