Two held for faking LLB marksheets

Kolkata, February 6 Two persons were arrested today in connection with the LLB marksheet fraud. The duo - Mahadeb Mandal alias Madhai of Canning and Amarendra Bala of Bangaon - was arrested from their respective houses this morning.

Detective Department (DD) sleuths arrested the duo after interrogating six persons who had posed as lawyers, on the basis of fake LLB marksheets, before the West Bengal Bar Council and arrested on February 1.

Deputy Commissioner (DC), Detective Department, Jawed Shamim, today said that Mandal and Bala supplied fake LLB marksheets to Ashok Kumar Burman of Gholabazar in North 24 Parganas and Masud Karim of South Dinajpore.
