Protests against power cuts

Kolkata, March 4 Over 150 members of the All Bengal Electricity Consumers’Association (ABECA), a SUCI-backed organisation, today protested against the incessant problem of power cuts during the ongoing board examinations.

The protests went for an hour near the CESE’s office in Victoria House as police tried to stop them from forcibly entering the office.

They demanded to know the reasons behind the power shortage in the state in spite of the completion of the Purulia pump storage.
