Kolkata, April 13 In a heartening piece of news for Bengal hockey, former Indian captain Dhanraj Pillay was today appointed coach and technical director by the Bengal Hockey Association (BHA), it was announced here late this evening.
Confirming the development, BHA president JB Roy pointed out that apart from routine coaching duties, the experienced Pillay will also be overseeing other coaching programmes and development drives in Bengal hockey at the grassroot level.
