Abhishek Shaw was allegedly abducted on Friday. The police team searching for the boy found him safe at home on Sunday morning.
Brij Shaw, the boy’s father, told the police that Abhishek had returned home around 4 am on Saturday morning.
Earlier, Shaw had complained to the Bhowanipur police that his son was kidnapped when he was returning home from his school on Rommay Road, on Friday. Later, the parents got a call from an unknown person asking for Rs 50,000 as ransom.
The police had sent out teams to conduct raids in various places, including Kidderpore and Kalighat but could not locate the boy.
Finally on Sunday morning police found Abhishek at his home.
