Ten held for selling IPL tickets in black

kolkata, April 25 The Kolkata Police’s Detective Department(DD) arrested 10 persons on Friday for black marketing of tickets for the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches. DC (DD) Jawed Shamim said the tickets of the Orange and Dark Blue Zone of the Eden Gardens for the upcoming match on April 29 were recovered from them.

Among those arrested are Mubarak Hussain, Subhendu Saha, Mohammad Alam, Sheikh Islam, Mohammad Shakil, Shahida Bibi and Baby Begum.

The police said that the arrested persons were known ticket black marketeers and the cops were keeping a strict vigil to prevent illegal sale of the IPL tickets. Since April 20, the day the Eden hosted its first IPL tie, 22 persons for black-marketing the tickets of IPL matches have been arrested.
