Sohrabuddin case: Main accused to undergo narco test

Ahmedabad, May 5: Suspended IPS officer and main accused in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, D G Vanzara along with his accomplice is likely to undergo a narco-analysis test in Ahmedabad on Monday.

The dates of the narco-analysis test were given by the Directorate of Forensic Science (DFS) Gandhinagar to the state CID on Monday, sources said.

A local court in Ahmedabad permission to the

investigating agency to conduct the narco-analysis test on the accused.

Three IPS officers - Vanzara, Rajkumar Pandian and Dinesh M N - were arrested a year back in the fake encounter case. Ten other police officers are also behind bars in the same case.

Sheikh was killed on the outskirts of the city in November 2005. His wife, Kausar Bi, was also allegedly killed.
