Ranchi, September 5: Nine years after completing his school education, India ODI captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni wants the Bachelor's degree and has enrolled himself as a regular student in an undergraduate course at a local college. Dhoni opted for the Office Management and Secretarial Practices course at the St Xavier's College in Ranchi on Thursday and the vice chancellor is considering exempting the star cricketer, who moves with a 'Z' security cover around him, from the regular attendance.

Father Nicholos Tete, the principal of St Xavier's College, said "yes, he has taken admission in our college".

Tete said that Dhoni's relatives had completed the required formalities to get the admission for the player. But how will he carry his baggage -- the 'Z' security -- to college?

"He will be a regular student. And it (to exempt Dhoni from regular attendance) is under consideration with the chancellor," he replied when asked whether Dhoni would be exempted from attending college regularly.

One of Dhoni's cricket guru Chanchal Bhattacharya blessed his prodigy on the teacher's day and also "demanded a guru-dakshina" from the wicketkeeper-batsman.

"I will be very happy to see Dhoni bringing the 2011 World Cup. That will be my real guru-dakshnia," Bhattacharya said while appreciating Kirsten's opinion on Dhoni's captaincy skills.
