Ludhiana, September 23 Help has started pouring in for the Borderless World Foundation — a non-governmental organisation working for the welfare orphan girls in Kashmir — after the Newsline highlighted their noble task on September 22.

Supriya Kalra, Project Development Manager, Basera-e-Tabassum, a project being run by this NGO, said, “Some city based as well as Chandigarh-based people called up and offered their services in cash and kind.

The first call I got was from Dr Laikra who has offered financial as well as medical aid for the needy children.

A retried army officer from Chandigarh, who perhaps read the news on internet, has also offered his services for the NGO. Jagjit Singh, a city-based manufacturer of woolen socks wants to give socks for children.

I also got a few calls from other residents who have offered help.”

With all thanks to these donors, Supriya said, “I heartfelt gratitude for these people who have come forward to help the 59 orphan girls.”
