Supriya Kalra, Project Development Manager, Basera-e-Tabassum, a project being run by this NGO, said, Some city based as well as Chandigarh-based people called up and offered their services in cash and kind.
The first call I got was from Dr Laikra who has offered financial as well as medical aid for the needy children.
A retried army officer from Chandigarh, who perhaps read the news on internet, has also offered his services for the NGO. Jagjit Singh, a city-based manufacturer of woolen socks wants to give socks for children.
I also got a few calls from other residents who have offered help.
With all thanks to these donors, Supriya said, I heartfelt gratitude for these people who have come forward to help the 59 orphan girls.
