Deputy Superintendent of Police V V Chaudhary, who is re-investigating the Naroda Patiya massacre case following the Special Investigation Team (SIT) order, said, that in his complaint, Saiyed has stated that two persons came on a bike while he had gone out to buy medicines. He said one of the two bikers slapped him. One of the two accused also slapped his son Anwar when he intervened. The two accused, then reportedly fled from the spot. Chaudhary said, “The Naroda police have lodged a complaint and attempts are on to nab the two accused with the help of the registration number of the bike.” Saiyed or his son has not named any political person who could be behind the incident, said the police.
