Maya govt transfers 14 IAS, 8 IPS officers

Lucknow In a major reshuffle, the Mayawati government on Thursday transferred 14 IAS officers, including six district magistrates. It has also transferred eight IPS officers.

While agriculture production commissioner (APC) Anis Ansari has been made member (judicial) Revenue Board, V K Sharma — who was the commissioner of Infrastructure and Industrial Development — has been made the APC.

Principal Secretary (Finance) Anup Mishra will be the new commissioner of Infrastructure and Industrial Development.

While Agra District Magistrate (DM) Ashish Kumar Goel has been made the DM of Bareily, Ghaziabad DM Mrityunjay Kumar Narayan will be the new DM of Agra. Bareily DM R Ramesh Kumar will now be the DM of Ghaziabad. Firozabad DM Balkar Singh has been appointed as the magistrate of Pratapgarh district.

The other IAS officers transferred include Govindan Nayar, Kapil Dev, Manjit Singh, V V Singh Vishven and Pankaj Kumar.

The state government also returned IG Gurdarshan Singh to the Varanasi Range, from where he was asked to be shifted by the Election Commission before the Lok Sabha elections.

Kamal Saxena, who was replaced by Gurdarshan Singh, has been posted as IG of UP Police Service Recruitment and Promotion Board.

Chandauli SP Vir Bahadur Singh has swapped places with Basti SP Lakshmi Narayan. P K Mishra, who was awaiting posting, has been made the SP of Vigilance Establishment, Lucknow. Mahesh Kumar Mishra, SP of Intelligence Headquarters too has been sent to the same wing.

Navin Arora and A K Das — who was recently posted as Commandant of 32 Battalion, Lucknow and SP (Intelligence) Kanpur — were sent to the Intelligence wing at Lucknow and Meerut respectively.
